Export Markets
Our story didn’t start in a boardroom, but in the fertile soils of Mid Canterbury. Gavin Prebble spent 36 years growing specialty crops and learning first-hand, what the world’s best agricultural buyers actually need. Thus Enzol International was born in 1994.
Gavin Prebble farmed intensively in the “golden triangle” of Mid Canterbury for 36 years, a region renowned for its exceptional soils, clean water, and freedom from pollution. His focus was specialty oilseed crops: Flaxseed (linseed), and Borage and Evening Primrose, the latter both recently introduced to New Zealand and in growing demand from international buyers.
Frustrated by the lack of reliable export pathways for his produce and that of his neighbours, Gavin began marketing directly to overseas buyers himself, earning a reputation for honesty and professionalism that would become the foundation of everything that followed.
Recognising that his network of growers and buyers needed a formal, professional structure, Gavin incorporated Enzol International Ltd in October 1994. The company was conceived as a natural extension of his farming practice, a dedicated export and procurement business built on relationships he had already spent years building.
The first contract was a supply of Borage Seed to a Canadian Supplier. This trade relationship set the tone for everything that followed.
Over the first decade and a half, Enzol steadily expanded beyond its oilseed origins. The company moved from seeds alone into cold-pressed oils, then plant-based leaf powders, and eventually finished organic products. Each move was always in response to genuine international demand from trusted partners.
Market reach grew in parallel: Australia, Japan, China, the USA, Canada, the UK, and Europe all became established trading relationships. Each was built the same way, slowly, carefully, and on the back of consistent delivery.
In 2010 Gavin was joined by daughter Mindy Morrison who brought fresh energy to the company while maintaining the same values that had underpinned every transaction for the past 16 years.
By now the product range had expanded to seeds, oils, leaf powders, native NZ botanicals, certified organic lines, and importing global seed and plant based oils and products unavailable for local source in NZ.
In mid 2025 Enzol International started the acquisition of the Waihi Bush Organics brand that was owned within the extended Prebble family.
The purchase finalised in November, meant a move to an in house retail ready product for customers, and the addition of another Prebble child, Andrea Monro as a director of the company.
Enzol was perfectly aligned with it’s previous 31 years of trading, to lead the brand into the future with the addition of support staff to handle the load.
The company today still operates on the principals that were formed 32+years ago, quality products with full transparency and traceability, and honesty and professionalism in all transactions.
Enzol is a family business in the truest sense. When you deal with Enzol, you deal with the people whose names are on the door, not a rotating cast of account managers. That personal accountability is part of what we offer, and what we stand for.

Founder
36 years of intensive arable farming experience before founding Enzol in 1994, Gavin is a specialist in oilseed and specialty crop production, with established export relationships spanning more than three decades. His farming background growing Borage, Evening Primrose, and specialty seeds on the Canterbury Plains, gives Enzol an understanding of agricultural product that pure traders simply cannot replicate.

Director
Mindy is central to the day-to-day coordination that keeps Enzol's transactions running smoothly. Working across procurement, supplier coordination, and customer communications, she ensures every enquiry is handled with the care and personal attention that Enzol's long-term partners expect. Her hands-on involvement from first contact through to final delivery reflects the same commitment to quality and reliability that has defined Enzol for over three decades.

Director
Andrea provides the operational and financial foundation that supports Enzol's global trading activity. Managing the business's financial processes, administration, and internal operations, she ensures the company runs with the efficiency and rigour that buyers and suppliers depend on. Her behind-the-scenes contribution keeps Enzol's commitments on track and its business in good order. Sustaining the reliability and professionalism the company has built its reputation on.

Marketing & Compliance
Dayna brings over a decade of experience in the rural sector, with a background spanning agricultural marketing and compliance management within the dairy and plant-based oils and processing industry. As a Compliance Manager in a related processing business it gives her a deep understanding of the supply chain Enzol operates within, making her contribution to the team both informed and immediately practical. That industry-specific knowledge means she understands how to communicate Enzol's value, and the product and regulatory landscape it operates in.
Some of our customer relationships are as old as the company itself. They are buyers who first traded with us in the mid-1990s and have never left.
That kind of loyalty is not an accident. It is the result of consistent delivery, honest communication, and treating every partner’s requirements as if they were our own.
It is what we aspire to in every new relationship we build.
